Alternate powering of Waveshare 10.1 inch HDMI LCD (B) possible?

Hi all,
I am trying to revive an old 286 flyer laptop by switching out the motherboard with a RPi 4 and this screen. Unfortunately with the bends the power cable had to do to fit, I broke off the micro USB socket that powers the screen.
I can solder it back, but given the tight squeeze, it would be better if i could power it from elsewhere on the pcb.
I have noticed that there seem to be markings indicating 12V and 3.7V on the board. This is not covered in the documentation.
Would it be possible to power the screen using 12V?
I dont want to destroy it, that is why I am looking for some advice.
Thanks!
